UTV RENTALS FAQ SECTION:
Q: Can I take the side by side/UTV into Arches National Park?
A: No, all UTV’s are strictly prohibited from the national parks per their guidelines. This includes Arches & Canyonlands. In fact you cannot access Arches National Park even in your own car unless you make a reservtion with them.
Q: Can I drive my machine to the trails and my accommodations and around town?
A: Yes, as long as you do not take any road with a speed limit of greater than 45 mph to reach your destination, and you comply with local curfews for UTV’s and you must possess personal auto insurance that covers you in a rental vehicle. If the trail you want to visit and your accommodations are further afield, or you are travelling during restricted hours, trailers must be used.
Q: What trails can I drive to from your office?
A: Hells Revenge, Fins N' Things, Hurrah Pass, and Chicken Corners
Q: Why do I need to provide my auto insurance for rentals?
A: UTV rentals are street legal and classified as short-term vehicle rentals (Just like a rental car). As such, you need to provide and have proof of your ID Card of your own personal auto insurance policy that covers you in a rental vehicle. This allows you to drive on the roads in town within the allowed constraints, without trailering. Insurance provided through credit cards cannot be accepted, as a policy number cannot be provided and will not be recognized by law enforcement in town.
Q: What are the new UTV Laws for driving on the street?
A: Grand County and Moab City have imposed a nightly curfew in which UTV’s are no longer street legal from 8:00pm to 7:00am, 7 days a week, which if violated, comes with a Class B Misdemeanor, up to six months in jail, and a $1,000 fine to you, the renter.

A: No driving my UTV on the street between the hours of 8:00pm to 7:00am, 7 days a week.
Q: Can I take the UTV on a trailer and be in compliance with the new UTV law?
Q: Do you have trailers we can borrow for our rental?
A: Yes, they are complimentary.
Q: Do I need my own hitch to utilize the complimentary trailers?
A: No, as long as you have a receiver on your vehicle, we have everything else to get it hooked up for you!
Q: Are there UTV specific speed limits in town?
A: UTV’s are limited to 15 mph on all side roads in town. On Main Street, UTV’s may go with the regular flow of traffic (30/35 mph).
Q: Are there governors on the machines?
A: No, we do not place any aftermarket governors on the machines.
Q: My machine isn't accelerating past 15mph, why?

Q: What is the range on a full tank of gas?
A: Around 80-100 miles depending on the machine you rent.
Q: Are the UTV’s equipped with windshields?
A: No, there are no after-market windshields installed on our UTV’s. We don't want scratched windshields to obstruct your vision. All machines are open air, with a roof.

Q: Do I have to wear a helmet?
A: In the state of Utah Helmets are required for anyone under the age of 18. We provide you with as many helmets as you might need but you are allowed to bring your own as long as they are DOT approved. (Please note, this law applies to rentals only, if you come on one of our UTV tours, everyone is required to wear a helmet)

A: Yes, we do require you to refuel the machine and rinse it before return, unless you purchase the optional fuel & wash service which is $49 to wash the vehicle and $49 to fuel the vehicle.
Q: Can I split the damage deposit with another person?
A: No, deposits must be under one person’s name, per machine, and that person must be physically present to fill out the paperwork in office.
Q: I'm also bringing some of my own UTV's, do I have to have a Utah OHV sticker even if I have one from my own state?
A: Yes. Even if your UTV has an OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) sticker from your state, you will have to purchase a Utah one. If your UTV is street legal and has a license plate just like a car then you are allowed to drive that on the pavement as is.
